4. Although it may not be specifically named in the scriptures as evil, is the work like the works of the flesh named in Gal. 5:19-21 or any of the works of the flesh that’s specifically named elsewhere? Mt. 23:35-37, 1 Tim. 1:9-11, 1 Tim. 6:4-5, 2 Tim. 3:2-8, Eph. 4:25-31, Eph. 5:3-6
5. Does it cause my weak brother to offend? We must be very concerned with this issue. Mt. 18:6-7, Rom. 14:7, 1 Cor. 8:8-9,11-13, Rom. 14:18, Rom. 14:17, Rom. 14:20
6. Does it cause an unbeliever to offend or violate his conscience? 1 Cor. 10:28-29
7. Does it violate my conscience? Can I do it by faith? Rom. 14:23
8. Does it hurt my influence for good? Mt. 5:13
9. Does it edify others? 1 Cor. 10:23, Rom. 15:2
10. Is it wasteful or too costly? John. 6:12, 1 Tim. 2:9
11. Does it put the kingdom first? Mt. 6:33, Luke 9:57-62
12. Does it harm my being a good steward? Mt. 25:14-30 (Parable of the Talents)
